Cambodia Casinos

There is an appealing story to the Cambodia gambling dens that lie just across the dividing line from nearby Thailand, where gambling hall gaming is illegal. Eight casinos are anchored in a relatively small area in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia gambling dens is in an excellent destination, a three to 4 hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the two most popular betting centers in Asia. Cambodia casinos do a thriving business with Thai workers and tourists from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The astonishing income accrued from the gambling dens ranges from $7.5 million to more than twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a number of restrictions requirements for gambling hall ownership. Ownership is required to be largely Thai; although, funding sources are vague. The borders are formally open from 0900 to 17:00, and although visas are allegedly necessary to cross, there are methods around this, as is correct of most borders.

The first Cambodia gambling dens premiered in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were forced to close in 1998, leaving just a single casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a stationary boat gambling den, highlights one hundred and fifty slot machine games and 60 tables. The Naga casino never closes with 42 tables of mini-punto banco, 4 tables of vingt-et-un, 10 of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The 1st gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in 1999 and the Golden Crown before long followed. A total of 150 slots and 5 tables at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slot machine games and sixty eight tables at the Holiday Palace. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort contains 300 slots and 70 gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machines and ninety six table games, including 87 baccarat chemin de fer (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slot machine games and sixty six of the familiar tables, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the 8 gambling dens in Poipet, again in a motel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slots and ninety seven casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an international vacation and hotel compound that highlights many amenities aside from the gambling den, which houses 10,000 sq.ft. of 130 slot machines and eighty eight gaming tables.
