Don’t Drink … Play!

If you enjoy a beverage every once in a while, keep your money at home if you set out to do your consuming in a casino. I am serious. Empty your handbag, your billfold, and leave all money, plastic credit and cheques back at the hotel. Only take only the cash you expect to spend on alcohol, tipping and whatever pocket change you intend to lose and leave the remainder behind.

Contemptuous? Not at all. Just realistic. You could have a win after a boozy evening out with your acquaintances and be lucky enough to catch a marathon toss at a hot craps table. Keep that adventure considering that it is as brief as it gets if you always drink and bet. These activities just don’t go well together.

Keeping your cash back at the hotel might be a tiny bit dramatic, but preventative actions for excessive behavior is required. If you gamble to succeed, then do not drink alcohol and play. If you like to burn your $$$$ without a worry, then drink all the free alcohol you can handle, but don’t carry plastic credit and chequebooks to toss into the mix of going after losses after your drunk as a skunk head loses every little thing!

Permit me to take this one step more. Don’t consume alcohol and then hop on the web to gamble in your favorite casino either. I enjoy a beer from the comfort of my domicile, however considering that I’m connected through Neteller, Firepay and keep credit cards near by, I can’t drink alcohol and bet.

How come? Even though I do not consume alcohol to excess, once I consume alcohol, it is clearly sufficient to befuddle my common sense. I gamble, so I do not consume alcohol when wagering. If you are a drinker, do not bet when you do. The two mix up for a dangerous, and crazy, drink.
